Congratulations Coach Ford!!! Well deserved honor. I was a student from 1980 - 1984 and the Danny Ford era made me a Tiger for life! My daughter graduated this past May so both of us were blessed to be able to enjoy Clemson Football at its best. Thanks again, Coach!!! Once a Tiger always a Tiger!!!

Ditto rettfla. I was a student in the early to mid 70s when Tiger football was hard to watch at times. Coach Ford changed all that. Great coach.

Me too. Those pre-Pell/Ford years were lousy. But from 1977-1991, Clemson football was sweet.

Absolutely time to do this for a great coach. Charley Pell's success brought me to campus in '79 but Danny was the man back then. Congratulations Danny - you've always been in our Clemson Hall of Fame!

of being on campus when Coach Ford was there - everytime i read and see pics of him he reminds me of what a college ball coach needed to be back then, gritty and determined.
While it is clear the game (and coaching) has change since his time, there is NO doubt that CU football, and its passionate fanbase today, would not be what it is without Coach Ford bringing greatness in the 80's.
