Seems like this could be problematic if the famous people weren't asked about it. Seems disingenuous to me. Good tactic if it was cleared with those people.

Just to be clear, this was NOT tweeted out by an official Clemson account like the article says. This is something the recruiting office did privately and sent to this recruit's account and he then posted it on his own account. Once again, NOT posted by an official Clemson account.

ASU had a the #20 recruit verbally committed. His brother had been hired as a coach. His brother left, he de-committed. He was hired at lsu, but before his brother committed to lsu-he was hired at ole siss. Now he is committed to ole siss. They talked about this on recruiting nation as a non-issue. How could that be ok and this twitter junk not be.

Photoshop to simulate in a playful manner what it would be like if your Mentions blew up in your Twitter feed. It's a cool technique for recruiting, they are not making any claims that these celebrities have actually said any of this stuff.
This is smart recruiting, and obviously it is working.
