Are we ever going to know what happened? Is this the player they have been talking about transferring or is there someone else? It is funny how we always seem to come up with extra scholarships but this isn't the way I want to!

Nope probably never will but like most, I sure would love to know why. OL would have much more depth if he came back.

Dude, Pollard has had crappy plays and spectacular plays. He's a true freshmen playing the hardest position to be an impact player on as a frosh. He has long arms, he's very gifted physically (which Batson will only make better in power hour). He will get better and more consistent. He will be a beast for us before its over. Just hide and watch.

Yeah Pollard is a baller man.
I never heard Ryan Anderson or Tim Williams over the PA the other night so he must be doing something right.

Power Hour is for redshirt freshmen that they are trying to beef up. Pollard will never go through Power Hour, since he just finished his freshmen year as a starter

Pollard just needs to settle in . He has some issues with speed rushers but has all the physical tools to be a good OL when it's all said and done .

C'mon, are you just regurgitating what that "anonymous coach" said about him in Sports Illustrated before the natty?
Not only is Pollard more physically gifted than Fruh, but he also plays with a nasty edge that Fruh just doesn't have. That CFP experience was big for his growth because he got to compete against many guys who will be in the NFL this time next year... and he held his own. He has the potential to be a multiyear All-ACC performer before it's all said and done.

1) Once Tiger always a Tiger and I wish him success wherever he goes
2) if you're one of these characters saying player X is horrible (or some other negative adjective)... we just won the national championship. We literally could not have done better, yet you find a reason to complain about personnel. You're the one who is horrible. They're ballers who won us a trophy, one you don't deserve to celebrate.

K if it was personal reasons he did not play and dabo gave him time to figure his future out then why is he going to another school to play football. If he said he was giving up football all together it would make more sense. So was the personal issues with clemson?

That's what quitters do, and if he quit bc he couldn't get along with coach Caldwell, that says that he could be coached hard, and that is why he isn't a champion today. I mean we hear our Tigers say all the time how they love being coached hard by our coaches bc it makes them better players.

No one knows what it was.its all speculation but like I said to me it sounded like a relationship gone wrong.thats the problem with not getting info, too much room for speculation. I went through some hard times in that area in my life, and everyday stuff was too much at the time.so if that is what it is feel bad for the guy.whatever it is good luck.

anyone causing a divide in our offensive line. We're doing just fine without him anyways and I doubt he would be the starter if he returned unless there were injuries on the line. The offensive line was playing pretty bad when he was still playing and progressively got better as the season went on so I truly don't see this as a big loss. I hope he succeeds wherever he goes.

He was never the same since the public dressdown Dabo gave him on his performance after the Syracuse game. On top of that, he lost his starting job. Kids will act differently to a public embarrassment like that. Dabo is great, but should keep the "dirty laundry" in the locker room and not at public press conferences.

Jake was never beat out for the record Pollard did a great job in filling in but will be a guard, struggles with pass protection The public beat down was against BC where he gave up a sack, which incidentally was to same player that led Nation in sacks Harold Landry with 17.5

I stand corrected. The public beatdown was after the BC game. Yes, Landry is a beast and many offensive linemen got embarrassed on the field playing against him this season. Dabo should have kept this public beatdown in the lockerroom. I heard Fruh's dad was not happy about the public embarrassment of his son.

I met his Dad at iptay meet and greet before the Boston College game. His dad was really nice, but felt that his son really wasnt ready to start and that's why we were seeing errors. Didn't say it but almost sounded like he wished he would have redshirted. That was the day before we played the BC game.

So if it's bc he got called out then he's like all the other kids this generation. They all think they're great and they cannot take criticism! Come on be a big boy. If he's leaving bc of that then good riddance!! Typical soft generation.

The irony of your statement makes you sound like a clueless old man. Say what you will about this generation, but young athletes such as him face more criticism from more sources than any previous generation before it. There are thousands of websites dealing in national media, regional media and team media which dish out daily criticism, and that's before you even get to social media, where fans have a direct-line to players' faces.
People say harsh, horrible, unfair things about people because they're sitting in front of a keyboard and don't have the fear of any negative repercussions coming from their statements...and whether you want to admit it or not, these 18-22 emotionally immature guys hear/read it. These kids catch it from all directions, and sometimes it can overwhelm them. Heck, nobody here has a clue what happened, but I've seen several speculative comments about this subject on this website, ranging from alcoholism to heartbreak to problems with the coaches. Heck, when Deon Cain was sent home last year, half the people here were calling for him to be kicked off the team and saying this 18 year old kid who smoked some pot was a total piece of ####. Granted, all those same fickle, sad old men have forgotten about that now because he had a good year, but it doesn't change what was said.
Can you imagine being 19 years old and homesick, or just realizing you made the wrong choice of school, and hundreds of strangers start spreading rumors that you're an alcoholic? That's what these kids deal with on a daily basis. So either shut your mouth, or open your eyes.

I say give it to James Robinson. That dude really wants to come to Clemson but Tee Higgins got in before he did and we shut down the WR recruitment. With Mike and Tay leaving, even with the studs we have we could use another guy like Robinson.

Robinson is immensely talented, but apparently has off the field issues that had lots of the big schools shying away from him...nothing to do with on-field stuff.

he does not need all the "I heard", "I think" rumors
The kid and Dabo have said for months that it is personal, so leave it alone.
I am pretty sure no one on this board would want their personal life put out on TigerNet or anywhere on the internet.
Let it be!!

Agree but also message boards are meant for opinions. I would never want my personal life put out there but no one cares about me and other than friends, family and coworkers,no one knows who I am.but if you are big time recruit at a big time program, your name will get brought up. I wish him the best no matter what it is or where he goes.

Deuces Fruh. Want to move, move. What ever the reason it must be for real to skip out on your team and the experience you missed the end of this season.

I wish him the best in his future. I have no idea what he is dealing with regarding personal issues but... the term is All-In. You either are, or you are not. Hopefully his scholarship can go to someone that can be ALL-IN.

As much as we hate to admit it, Clemson is not always the best fit for everybody. Whatever his personal issues are, I hope he gets them resolved. Good luck to him in his future, wherever he lands.
