wear the same number - something not done when I played in the stone ages - but how do TE Cannon Smith and WR Andrew Maass both get to wear #84? Surely that's a mistake.

Cannon Smith will probably red shirt this year and the walk on is a senior, so it may not ever be a problem.

I think Smith red shirts and doesn't see the field next season. Also quite a few observers see him eventually as an OT which if it came to pass would necessitate a number change for him.

Off topic but sources are saying that Jerome Maybank is transferring to either Elton or Mars Hill. How do y'all feel about that? I'm actually relieved, now we have more space toget more recruits and such. I guess that means Region actually bought in and started getting serious as opposed to Maybank.

Kid needs to wear it proud and listen to every single thing Jeff Davis tells him about playing LB. The old #45 remains IMO the best pure FB player I have ever seen with a Paw on his helmet and Im sure he will guide the kid on and off the field. That number along with #4 ain't handed out lightly around DV.
