Favorite all time hit, by a Clemson defender.

David Dunham's hit on Boyd was great. But I'm going with his hit on Matty Ice, when Ryan's helmet came flying off! I think he actually threw up on the field after that hit!

I was at that game. Big hit to be sure. How about DeAndre McDaniel picking off Christian Ponder, pointing at him ("Don't do it"), then blasting him on the sideline and knocking him out of the game...

With both McDaniel and Ponder before the next season started and the interviewer asked what he would do if McDaniel intercepts another pass by him and Ponder laughingly said "move out of the way". Lol

Gotta agree....Dunham was a violent hitter. The hit on Matt Ryan from BC...knocked the helmet off and had Ryan on his knees.

David Dunham's hit on the coot defender during the opening kick off
Jan 27, 2017, 5:27 PM
|
|
In the 2004 season. I remember it like it was yesterday, coot players met the tigers at the bottom of the hill and started talking trash to our players despite losing 63-17 the year before. Gamecocks received the ball on the opening kick and David Dunham comes flying down the field to put the hit on the ball carrier which forced a fumble and Clemson recovered. It was epic lol

justice had been served to the poor girl who had her jaw broken by that creep. Its a shame his jaw wasn't wired shut too like hers was! Other than that the hit on Matty Ice is king. I bet he still has nightmares about that hit.
