They've had a good few weeks of meetings with players and coaches. Swinney says he loves the heat, he ran four miles at lunch, and the players are used to it after working out in the heat all summer.

then perhaps you shouldn’t read the comments section.
I don’t think anyone wants Dabo to say that a player sucks, but there is a difference between positivity and lying.
I would much prefer this:
“Everyone is working hard and improving. We are pleased with where all four guys are.”
Over this:
“This is the best group of QBs I have ever coached. They are all capable of winning the Heisman and playing in the NFL.”
The former is positive and doesn’t throw anyone under the bus, while the latter is misleading and clearly not true.
Our backups are not currently capable of leading our team to victory, and it’s disingenuous to say that they are.

The poster in question (Mcguirefan77) criticized me and my post, accused me of trying to ruffle feathers, and told me to stay away.
My response was simple: if my comment was so bothersome, perhaps they shouldn’t read the comments section. I never told that person to leave. I never said that they couldn’t post. And I never criticized them or their content.
Oh, and I also explained my reasoning and what I feel would have been a more reasonable response from Dabo.
You trying to draw some sort of false equivalency and calling me a hypocrite is a reach. But I think you know that.

It was a slight exaggeration of comments he has made in the past (e.g., Kyle Parker will be an NFL QB, the 2023 receivers are the fastest he has had, no transfer portal player is good enough to play for us, etc.).
I’m all for Dabo being positive and encouraging, but the over the top comments and predictions for players is not necessary. It only serves to create unrealistic expectations by the fan base, which then leads to Dabo getting upset when fans’ expectation exceeds their appreciation. It also makes Dabo look like a liar.

Yeah, that same speak as last year, and said we had 10 OL that could start and play multiple positions.
Disappointing about Oliver. I was excited when we signed him. Hopefully he'll stick it out and get one or two years.
Pennington in a good place. I hope so. Wasn't it two years ago that DP was a day 1 starter. He's got the skills, just sounds like that bulb needs to come on.
Are we going to get positions coaches interviews?

99.9% of coaches sound exactly like Dabo during these press conferences and Dabo has been here long enough that we all already pretty much know what he is going to say. He lives by the power of positivity and always will. Just accept it for what it is...
