And overreacting to not getting any of our top targets this year, need to relax. It's all a crap shoot, but the coaches really like Vizzina. It was always going to be hard to get a QB with the next two years likely set at starter and. Top recruit backup. Got to hit the jackpot in 2025, and that’s been the plan all along for the staff. A QB was not a need this cycle, we send offers out every cycle to build depth. Relax, we are going all in on who we want in ‘25.

Amen. We need WR's, DB's, and DE's. LB's to replace Carter and Trotter next year. RB's to replace Ship and Maf.

It’s hard to stack talent at QB. When you do accomplish it a transfer or 2 is bound to happen. We’ve been there and done that.

the last few years at multiple positions.
This isn’t to say that we still don’t have some incredible talent, but we do seem to be settling for backup options more than we did previously.

is no longer the "new flavor of the day", and other new coaches have arrived on the scene and figured out new strategies to recruit agaisnt us. No need to panic; we still have one of the best brands in college football, and we just need to tweak a few things and evolve naturally in order to maintain and maximize our position. I admire, respect, and agree with Dabo's insistence on doing things the "right way", and I wouldn't have it any other way; but I think he is very well aware and will navigate these changes in a way that leaves us as a major player at or near the top of the college football world.

I think the hit rate is the same as the past we are just hitting in different places. Missing our top targets on QB, WR and RB just stand out due to being “glamor” positions. We’ve been getting our pick of the litter on the OL and defensive side the last few years at rates we’ve never had. It just doesn’t “feel” like we are to some since it’s not those guys, yet.

Well the coaching staff obviously disagrees or they wouldn't have wasted all of these resources to chase a half dozen QBs who all said no thanks. Interesting revisionist history however.

They definitely wanted all of them but I can tell you there is a difference in how we recruit a player that we want and one that is a top priority. Next years QB top target will be recruited a lot different, and that’s been the plan since the last class with 25 being the target to land another priority.

IMO, George MacIntyre, Antwann Hill, and Cutter Boley will be three 2025 QB recruits to watch and see how Clemson plays it.

Possibly Montgomery. It's way to early but 247 has him to O31-0 State. IMO, the QBs need to be taller with OL getting taller. Maybe by the time he is Senior he'll be close to that 6' 4" height.

I think we are just fine with our current qb roster. However, it is deeply concerning that we have whiffed on all 4 qb targets for ‘24. I don’t understand that.

Clemson went all in on Walker White, everyone thought he was coming to Clemson, then Hugh Freeze and Auburn swooped in and took him
I understand as fans we are optimistic about players, but you can’t discount a position during a signing class because you think a kid is going to be good. The coaches job is to out-recruit last year’s class every year. You want to bring the best in every year. To pretend that Clemson intentionally didn’t go after these guys because Vizzina is here is not very smart
Vizzina wasn’t even the top QB on Clemson’s board last year. Wasn’t the first QB to get an offer from Clemson

I’m telling you, it is an absolute strategy. There were no TL’s in this class to go all in for that fit us, all the top kids that could be super stars we didn’t even go after— it was by design. You can think what you want but I know it for a fact, take that as you will.

I think we see this panic about every time we're recruiting some of the top QB talent, but when it's really time for Dabo to bring in the future QB, he will bring that QB to Clemson!!!
