a couple years ago. Upon landing at the airport, a group of locals walked up, fascinated at my orange Clemson polo shirt. They did not speak English, but were pointing at me and said "Wooooo-hoo woo-hoo hoo-hoo".
Tears came to my eyes as I realized the powerful brand that Clemson had built. Wooooo-hoo woo-hoo hoo-hoo to you all!

Didn't like the "Woo-Hoo" at first, still don't care for it. Really dislike the "Kitty Claw" but the thing, as an alumni (1989) is the "Mother .. F.. N" from the student section. This certainly does not tie into "A Clemson Gentleman Needs No Introduction" This just sound trashy and classless. Would expect something like this out of Coot-lumbia, not Tigertown!

I was 14 y.o. 51 years ago when many 40+ y.o. fans were asking WTH is a Tiger Paw. Now the Paw is one of, if not, the most recognized logo in the college sports world. Then we come to around 2006 (exact year ?) when I was about 50 y.o., the woo hoo was introduced and many 40+ y.o. fans back then hated it and are still hating on it, but it won't go away. Now I'm 65 and see the "claw thing". I hope I live long enough to see the reaction of the "claw" creators when they are 40+ y.o. and a new generation decides to moon the field with the "claws" tatooed to their a.s.s. cheeks.
Note: Claws and Woo Hoos will never equal the Paw. But claws tatooed to butt cheeks bared at a game will get some attention.

The thing that Clemson is known for??? No No No. I honestly did not hear too much Woo Hoo in Charlotte. I cringe when I hear the Woo Hoos. I also cringe when I see people not fold their thumb in at the end of the Alma Mater. The thumb bend is supposed to mimic Clemson Cadets holding their hats. I love tradition and want to uphold it. And while I am at it, bring back the balloons. Go Tigers! Beat the Jackets. See you in Clemson on Saturday.
