For those who know scouting better than me, what’s the chances of him getting drafted and not even showing up?

He’s the 155th rated prospect in the draft according to MLB.com, so that would put him to get drafted around rounds 4-6. Bonus typically could be from $600,000 to about $300,000, barring any teams taking an underslot player early and giving him a bigger bonus to sign. I’d imagine if he gets a similar offer from Bakich, he’d probably go to the MLB. Personally, I wouldn’t risk it going back to college unless I was certain I was going to get drafted higher in the next year’s draft.

Selfishly, he should 100% come to Clemson and ball out.

I think he could bet on being drafted higher after playing ACC baseball…… with full scholarships we can start expecting to keep some kids in school an extra year and get kids out of high school

Let's hope so for retaining mid draft juniors. However, do you think this moves the needle for Wideman? Or do you think he's weighing his options?

Or take a chance on falling. His issue is swing and miss, I would think that would be escalated in the ACC with much better pitching than the Sun Belt.

Billy Amick signed with MN for 1.45. Several Wake players and ACC players the last 2 years signed for well over 3.5. THere's a price for every draft/signed round taken.
