Etienne needs to get back on the board this week

for any chance in the Heisman race. Last week was his gimme week. I don't think he gets anymore of those. Hopefully he finished this week with 100+ and a couple TD's before they pull him for the 2nd stringers.

Unfortunately for ETN's Heisman chances

the second half could be completely dominated by Lyn-J and Darien.
This game will be as ugly for Louisville as Dabo wants it to be.

on stage in NYC for the ceremony. Will help his draft stock and showcase Clemson again. We'll get one someday. But you're probably right with TUA already being awarded the crown prince before the season.

Agree he needs some more splash games. Unfortunately I think his ceiling is a finalist this year as a Bama W Saturday will pretty much lock it up for Tua.

Watson had a Heisman stolen from him...

because the morons voting cast their ballots prematurely.
I'm not saying anyone can or will beat-out Tua.
I'm simply saying, let's wait until all of the games have been played before voting.

I like what the coaches are doing in taking what the defense is giving us and letting TL pick them apart. I feel like they will run Etienne more down the stretch kind of like they did with DW4 his last 2 years. I know they are different positions, but I feel like they are hoping teams forget that we can pound the ball if needed. That is going to be huge for our last 7 (hopefully) games.
Plus, I think Etienne could put up 200 yards a game over the next 4 games and he still won't edge out Tua or Murray...just my opinion though.

Take what the defense gives you...

and Louisville, BC, Duke and u5c all have pretty weak rush defenses.
BC is ranked 66th nationally against the run,
u5c is 80th,
Duke is 99th, and
Louisville is 124th
If they load the box to stop the run, and play pressman or cover two, TL picks them apart throwing the ball.
Louisville is ranked 25th nationally against the pass,
u5c is 38th,
Duke is 39th, and
BC is 49th

completely agree...but if they load the box

which would be stupid since TL has shown the ability to pick apart better defenses, then that could alter the game plan. Quick screens to the WRs would be easy money. I wonder if they have been working on Etienne catching those laser screens from TL. Get him out on the edge and watch him go. I agree though that they should be able to have their way with the remaining 4 games.

Those numbers seem a bit suspect. Louisville is terrible

against the pass too. I'm guessing their pass defense looks if you look at "total defense" because teams are murdering them so badly they don't bother throwing the ball much in the 2nd half. Their per-play numbers against the pass are likely much, much worse.
This is how S&P+ ranks those defensive units:
Louisville: #110 rushing D, #108 passing D BC: #83 rushing, #25 passing Duke: #37 rushing, #55 passing SCar: #71 rushing, #28 passing
I'm not completely sure how to explain Duke's rushing defense being so much better in S&P+ than total defense, but it's probably because they played both Army and GT. GT had 229 rushing against Duke, but only 3.8 YPC. Army had 168 rushing on just 3.6 YPC. VT also ran the ball 41 times on them for just 2 YPC. UVA had 44 carries vs Duke at 4 YPC. It looks like teams have just run the ball a ton against Duke, but not for great success.

The Heisman is already Won , just like when Lavair won it. No Chance for ETN even if he finished with 2k yards and 30 TDS. Sad but true
