Realistically, this game was never going to be a night game

with the way TX and TA&M are playing. Only way it was going to be a night game is if we played on a secondary ESPN channel, but that was never going to be an option with the way Clemson and SC are ranked. This was a complete money move. Unfortunately, noon is the highest rated time slot now and generates the most money. Noon on ESPN is equivalent to 8p on ABC.
