Almost as comical as James Clements signing off on GOR. ALl responsible for that signing should be dismissed by Clemson University and I don’t care what their names are!

When you take all the cross country trips with all sports into account it’s definitely a losing proposition.

Our teams would only have to take maybe 1 trip every couple of years to Cal and Stanford. That's nothing compared to the travel they will do in a season.

It's no big deal if you're only talking about football. Even bball would be a nightmare. Let alone the baseball and softball teams.
So, the only choice would be to exclude other sports. Which, imo wouldn't be a bad idea for all the conferences. Like b1g is about to find out, how do you schedule? How do you crown a conference champion?
Not disagreeing because in reality it's no different than cuse, bc going to Miami. The only difference is the time zone and how much that takes a toll on the students.

Once you get on the Jet, does it really matter if you fly 1.5 hrs or 4?

Not to mention the toll on the “student athletes”. Look, if I’m going to Stanford, I sure as heck aint going to blow getting my education there to travel three days to play soccer or softball or attend swim meets! That would be just a plain stupid choice!
What is Jim Phillips smoking??? Good grief man ge ahold of yourself!

This feels like a company that just went out of business. All the good employees got poached immediately, and the ACC comes in and takes the last people in the building that no one wanted

I'm thinking that this is purely to keep the conference alive somehow after the big names bolt.
At least that is what I keep telling myself.

I read somewhere last night that SMU was prepared to not take any distribution the first few years of membership. Is this true? If it is they must be loaded. lol.

Because they're the only ones smart enough to build the time machine we'll need to go back to the early 80s when SMU was relevant.

Well, Stanford's endowment is around $38 Billion with a B. So, if they want in let them pay for it. Unless it makes Clemson more money, the vote should be a big NO. It just looks like the ACC is desperate.

Being I don't think getting out of the GOR expansion is good. It will eventually provide more money and SMU is getting better and opens Texas market. We should have gone after the four corner schools from the PAC 12. Who else is out there better then those three teams right now?
