Not likely, but definitely possible.

1. Duke wins out, including in Charlotte. Finishes as ACC Champ with 9-4 record.

2. James Madison wins out, including Sunbelt championship. Finishes 13-0.

So, Duke would finish behing AAC and Sunbelt champions. Remember, the ACC is not guaranteed a spot in the playoffs. It is the 5 highest ranked conference champions.

Result - ACC gets ZERO teams in the playoff.

Moral of the story: Get out of the ACC ASAP!

Just a thought Brett. We are 3-4 in the ACC and your Noles are 1-5 so just where would you suggest we go? There are 7 Big10 teams with 2 losses or less. There are also 7 SEC teams with 2 losses or less and guess what, the ACC has 7 teams with 2 losses or less. When we get back to being the teams we want to be will be road be easier in the ACC than it would be in the Big10 or SEC? I think you know the answer.

Haven’t heard anyone explain how another conference with better and higher-caliber teams would help us get into the playoffs more easily? We would 100% not be earning a conference win in the other P4 conferences at this time. So I don’t get it.
