Re: Enough with the Brownell talk

The season is not over and the whining is really really getting old. No one is forcing you all to watch Clemson Basketball. If you can’t watch without acting like a two year old who dropped their ice cream…just don’t watch.

No one likes it when ANY of our athletic teams loses or looks bad but do you really think our AD (whose literal job it is to put all of our programs in a position to succeed) doesn’t know what he’s doing (more than anyone here at least)? If he thinks Coach Brownell deserves more time here at Clemson then I’m on board.

Let’s just calm down and see how everything plays out. In the meantime it wouldn’t hurt to get behind the team (and coaches) and see what happens!

Okay I'm back. That was pathetic. The entire month minus FSU has looked exactly like this. Are you fine with this? Because I'm not! Just lost to the worst team in the conference (1-14 before tonight) and made it look easy for them too. Just absolutely disgusting basketball. This loss has decimated our chances of making the NCAA tournament as well and has made the window barely a crack at this point in terms of probability.

I would agree with you that this would be too much whining if we were perennially a good program or this was a brand new coach. But it is not. This is 13 years in the making now. I am so tired of it that I am close to the point I'm becoming apathetic and inching closer to the joining of the crowd that is wanting to do away with basketball entirely. Especially if this is what we are accepting every single year. One of the ways to make change is to be as vocal about it as possible to get the point across as fans that enough is enough. Whether that be beaching, sending emails, or donors threatening to not give anymore money.

I'm behind the players but I'm not behind the coach. It's time to move on and finalize this divorce. He isn't putting us in the best position to win obviously.
