Long story short, he wants to be part of big tech and he wants to use a website to promote nutty conspiracy theories and lies. It's basically the polar opposite of what he is promoting. That said, I could see it working well. There is a niche obviously.

I was relaxing and saying that I didn't know what the scoop was and was waiting on facts. I am not into conspiracy theories. I just go by what we best can tell are facts. Trump's aspiring big tech site will just be a site to spread lies, division, and nutty conspiracy theories. No good for the country will come out of it.

It's a universal fact as far as things stand as we know it. That's what he does and promotes, so I would call it a fact. Maybe it will be a site to spread unity, harmony, and only promote facts, but that would be a first for Trump, so that would be awesome if he reinvented himself. Time will tell and you could be right about it and he has completely became a new person with completely different altruistic goals as a human being.

LOL. The "tyranny of big tech." They're just platforms. They can dictate their own terms of service. They aren't required to let you spew your bullsh!t. You don't like it, find another one.

But sure. Donald's going to successfully kick off and implement this vast, far-ranging social network, by hiring guys from big tech, who are of course going to go work for Donald (and in so doing, completely ruin their cred with the actual Big Tech firms and make themselves unemployable), because, you know, high-end tech guys are a dime a dozen and just fall off trees.
I know. I was part of a medical software start-up. I know exactly how hard it is to find even web designers and entry-level programmers. I'm sure the best of the best are just going to line up hat in hand for a guy who's notoriously long on promises and short on delivery, and who's got a lifelong reputation of never paying his bills and shafting his employees.
And this is the problem MAGA is having right now: this backlash towards extreme social conservatism is in fact a product of Big Tech and social media, and it can't continue to exist and push itself forwards without Big Tech.
The problem is MAGA world neither controls Big Tech nor has the capacity to successfully implement it at scale themselves. And even if they do, it's going to be an echo chamber nobody in the "mainstream" uses. Parler's already a toxic ghost town and nobody uses it...because they realized, hey, liability...and they tried to moderate the extreme extremism and started zapping guys who were, you know, planning massacres and kidnappings and organizing Nazi rallies. And so the tribal Barbarian Horde largely went over to Gab...which keeps getting hacked and crashing. It's been comical watching Parler and Gab flounder, it's like monkeys trying to fly a 747.
But I'm sure Donald will get done what they can't.
