it is an All-SEC circle jerk, what you will most likely see is college football all time HISTORY. Nick Saban is attempting to surpass the unsurpassable Bear Bryant by winning his SEVENTH Natty at the same school.
Never mind the fact that he ALREADY surpassed the Bear for most all time with his last one, since he had already won one at LSU.
There is something to be said for living in the same time as some truly remarkable historic sports events.
John Wooden's ridiculous title run at UCLA in basketball.
Muhammad Ali winning the heavyweight title three times. (Just him beating George Foreman when absolutely no one gave him a chance, that alone proved he was smarter than all the rest.)
These are things that will never happen again. Saban's run will be looked back upon through the lens of history with the same reverence. It will never happen again. Bank on it, and for cripes sake, watch it while you are able. You don't have to like the man to ultimately respect what he has been able to accomplish.

I'll watch because it's without a doubt the 2 best teams in college football. I didn't watch the 2012 BCS National Championship between Bama v/s LSU because it was not the best 2 teams in college football.

Funny how that works.
I've noticed this as I've reduced my sports consumption...none of it actually matters. Every now and then someone will ask me if I saw some miraculous play in the NFL. I'll say no...maybe they'll describe it...maybe we'll talk about something else. But it doesn't really matter.

In the grand scheme of things, American college football records have no relevance or importance in this world at all. Grown men who follow their college football team like it is some kind of cult religion have a lot, and I mean a lot, of growing up to do. Those who live vicariously through a bunch kids lugging a pigskin up and down a football field are extremely childish and immature. Just look at all the crazed bozos on this site. Our country is falling down around our ears but most on this site are more concerned about Dabo using the silly portal. Idiots!!!

Well said.
Some people let their emotions over rule their better judgement. It's like watching the all time greats in golf. How many of us would have loved watching Palmer, Nicklaus, Tiger in his heyday, Sam Snead, Bobby Jones, etc. because we didn't like them? Would we have missed watching the US Open in 1962 when Jack Nicklaus and Arnold Palmer tied and had a playoff with Nicklaus winning because we didn't like either of them?
