Doing a Twitter detox.

Twitter is my only social media vice. And, I don't follow too many people, and the ones I do are, for the most part, ideological allies. Being a libertarian/neo-liberal, the culture in my feed is generally sober and non-partisan. Yet, things are still so, so, so fudgin stupid right now, it still sowers my mood if I'm careful.
I decided I think I'd like to ride out the next 3.5 years in a cone of ignorance as to what is going on in the country, as much as possible, and just see where we are then. Like, skipping commercials on a TiVO. I'm going to stay involved, but at a local level, and in a non-partisan way; issue advocacy only.
To try to do this, I've cut out Twitter for the last couple of days as I try to stay away for a week, and maybe longer. Man, already it's helping.
I'm still using Drudge as a methodone hit, but dang...this is like a vacation.

I've only checked a couple of times, and that was related to the draft.
Basically cold turkey for one week now, and it's been divine. Even checking drudge has gotten more irregular. Don't really know what's going on in America. Don't really care. The Pope still alive?
