While I like this hire, obviously it's odd for somebody to go from being a successful head coach of a major program to being an assistant somewhere. Apparently, this is the reason why: https://www.stanforddaily.com/2015/05/28/stanford-softball-in-shambles-after-infighting-controversial-resignation/. As far as I can tell Rittman didn't do anything wrong, and most of the allegations had almost nothing to do with him.
Is it just me, or does drama like this seem to happen a lot with women's teams (especially softball)?

As long as his character is one of a Clemson Gentleman, and he can keep a better watchful eye on his assistant coaches to make sure that what ever happen at Stanford doesn't ever happen at Clemson, I'm OK with him making a fresh start at Clemson. If you believe anything that D Rad had to say about how highly recommended Rittman came to him, then we should give the man an open minded fair chance....

The very first lesson that John Rittman should learn about Clemson, and that is Clemson is not pronounced or spelled Clemsin, it's always been from the beginning, C L E M S O N!!!!!!

It is truly a beautiful spot. Not everything has to go near the stadium. Golf, soccer practice areas, we have hundreds of acres. Build the best stadium in the country but stop squeezing everything near the stadium area.
Going to ruin a good thing and there are other options.
