If Dabo wants a 5-Star HS QB who's a team player with great leadership skills and good character and the GM wants to buy a 5-Star QB out of the portal who held out from his old team, didn't attend spring practice and got kicked off his team, who wins?

Understanding your post, a bit of sarcasm (I hope)... but it does bring up a good question. I think I understand the GM role that negotiate nil for existing players. But are we giving nil to high school recruits now?

I really don't understand the front page article on what Kelly is supposed to evaluate. It's my understanding that Grisham is still the recruiting coordinator? Is Kelly going to help Pearman in the portal? All this new stuff really does confuse me.
