Exists. Reading an article this morning from an awards show last night and post Malone won for best male artist and Beyonce won best female artist. This wasn't even some satirical news article. So that country now....

No.. country music doesn't exist anymore. Not the country I grew up with anyway.. it became soft pop.
This is the most country song I've heard in the last decade... and these guys aren't even country.

We are in a pretty genreless era right now. Sort of a post internet streaming music phenomenon. At least that is the mainstream situation.
Indie scene is kind of the other direction. There is an incredible wealth of niche genre albums of incredible quality. A few folks you might want to check out depending on what you are looking for: Sturgill Simpson, Tyler Childers, Vincent Neil Emerson, Joshua Ray Walker, Charley Crockett, Fred Eaglesmith, American Aquarium, Reckless Kelly.
Also, as a certified Beyoncé hater, I listened to her new record after all the buzz and thought it was pretty incredible, but there is no accounting for taste.

This whole Beyonce country thing is honestly an embarrassment to the music industry. The fact that you can have a billionaire pop start buying country awards... it's a slap in the face to the women like Ella Langley, Kacey Musgraves, and Lainey Wilson who are actually making music that still sounds pretty country. I skimmed through Beyonce's album to see if there is anything even halfway decent on it and it's just trap beats and auto tune, but because she is wearing a cowboy hat on the album cover it's considered "country."

I wouldn't put much faith in the AMA's to be an accurate measure of Country Music. AMA,s tend to lean heavily towards the pop culture.

Country music hasn't been the same since the early 2000s, once they started allowing all these crossovers to put their own spin on what country music is....its been garbage.

No. Country radio is awful. Only people keeping country afloat are Sturgill Simpson and Tyler Childers. Yet I feel Nashville's influence has always been around Tyler.
