Does anyone believe the FSU backup QB is worse than DJU?

I think FSU is going to be amped up for Clemson. You know how the backup always has the game of his life against Clemson. Hopefully, it's a boring pounding that FSU takes but I ain't so sure about that.

But, yes - he is not as good as DJU. He's 2nd on the depth chart for a reason. Coaches don't keep their jobs by playing inferior talent when better talent is on the bench, especially at QB.

Don't agree with your point. Cade was not ready, Dj nearly got us to the playoffs. Lawrence was the starter in game 5, he needed to get acclimated.

He started in a two games last year, including bowl game, and they wer not good starts IMO, this will be his third start…. If he was better than DJU, he would have started already…. I think he not the best, but we still have to be ready for him and play our best

FSU scored 16 points (16-3W)against Louisville with Brock at QB, and lost to Georgia 3-63 n bowl game, ouch

Might want to take a look at those starts
1st start was Louisville a top 30 or so defense
2nd start was against Georgia with all their top weapons opting out of the bowl.
Yes he was 0-4 against SMU but I think the team had already quit.
They are going to hear all the negativity all week so come Saturday they are going to be fired up and ready to play. They will likely make a game of it for a short time but that adrenaline will run out and reality will settle in. Tigers win and win big we will.

Well, you could look at the scores of those games, or you could watch him play. Watching him play, he was not very good. May r he has improved, but who knows how much.

That was a very dumb move, and it was stupid of their coaches by refusing to see the best example of what DJ could as a QB when he was behind center at Clemson!!!

I don’t take anything for granted. I recall a backup to Winston one year who lit us up. It I do think they’re crushed. Hopefully we win big but we better show up with attitude and drop the hammer.

It can also be described as "pride that blinds" because it can cause people to act in foolish ways that go against common sense. Just because they are playing their backup is no reason for us to take them lightly. That way lies bitter disappointment! Keep the same focus and intensity and curb stomp them!

In that he may be more talented but he's young and raw and probably not in a better position to lead a rudderless FSU team against Clemson than a seasoned QB, even of lesser talent.
In short, I think FSU suffers by losing DJU against us. Perhaps throughout the year it will work out better for them.
Then again, you never know. Maybe the players really like him and focus/rally around what they may perceive as a difference maker. We shall see.
