but a lot of mock drafts seem to have Bryce Young at #1 recently.
Stroud sure didn't help himself with the poor score on the S2 cognition test.
I predict that the Panthers will pick Young, and it will end up being a back pick. I have major concerns about his size.

Young has some really solid qualities that make him a very desirable first pick (he reads opposing coverages really well, he gets rid of the ball quickly, and he's a very accurate passer). That said, there are some downsides too. As you alluded to, while Young does have good agility and mobility, at roughly 204 lbs, he's definitely on the small side. His lack of bulk means he'll be less likely to scramble and take hits unless it’s absolutely necessary. He has also been criticized for his arm strength (or lack thereof).
Is it reasonable to say Young has a lower ceiling than Stroud? Considering the Panthers have been floundering at the quarterback position since Scam Newton lost his star power, going with Stroud might have been a bigger swing for a superstar, but I think Young has more than enough qualities to justify Carolina taking him at No. 1.
