If only Hatfield's wife got a vote. Not sure this is going to help or hurt us. Bad feelings all around when Hatfield left.

I think it's fine. Seems to be a good mix from all over the country, in addition to the folks they already have.

Its not bad . He can discuss Clemson after 25 years I am sure there's no ill will . If it were Sparky Woods I would feel differently , because I feel like he wouldn't do Clemson any favors during committee discourse ... especially since they'll never in a million years have any reason to utter the words " University of South Carolina " when talking about the CFB playoffs .

Vans and for sale signs when we ran him out of Tigertown. Wonder if he will have leave the room when the committee is discussing Clemson.

I can't imagine he's vindictive -- and even if he is, surely he has sense enough to know that Clemson's program today is completely different from when he was here (new president, AD, board, administration, and probable even most of the fan base is different), so getting "revenge" would be pretty pointless.

Taking a shot at the SCar fans who say we funnel money to recruits and players through Newspring Church. Their pastor was Perry Noble lol

Paola Bolvin (or however you spell it)...what a freakin joke. Every "sports" column she wrote out here was about diversity, or some other liberal cause. She will probably vote for Cal Berkeley regardless of the facts... And good for Hatfield. Seemed like a good, honest guy

Thank Goodness we got another ringer on the committee to replace DRad as he rotates off. Hatfield will surely be a bugaboo for the Gamecocks to get over.

I've heard a story that Trapp cursed him out back then as a player. I dont know if that is true but I like to think so. The guy was just such a bozo. Got the keys to a Ferrari and ran it into the ditch over and over

Seriously odd choice for the committee. As a former coach here he would have feelings (either good or bad) and should have to recuse himself when CU is discussed- and it will be now and at least over the next few years.
Pretty soon there'll be no one left in the room.

I saw Hatfield's name and immediately thought "Oh My G.."
However, it has been a long time. I met him at a FCA meeting at Clemson and he was a very nice man. It was just bad timing after Ford was let go and Hatfield did not have the personality to handle that kind of situation.

Fortunately, I don't think he is nearly as vindictive as the segment of the Clemson "family" that made his life miserable for 4 years. His only crime was being the person chosen to replace Ford. He had a .707 winning percentage here and he was fired at the end of an 8-3 season before the bowl game that we won. And if anyone pulls out the Ford's recruits line, I'll have to refer you to Ford's record at Arkansas.
