So is the new grass just grown on PLASTIC at the farm and removed from the PLASTIC and transplanted to the sod....

Or will there actually be a layer on PLASTIC underneath the grass in memorial stadium?

My spidey senses are tingling, it's almost as if we're being groomed to make way for fake turf and I'm not ok with that.

I'm no expert, but i do believe the sod is removed from the plastic before it's shipped and it is not installed with the plastic underlayment.

No, it's not Commie grass.

The turf was developed by Oklahoma State breeding program and has been grown by West Coast Turf (linked above) for installation in several west coast stadiums.

It is now also grown in Georgia by Precision Turf - and this is where our grass is coming from.

It's a hybrid bermuda that is extremely good for stadium use.

Clemson has expert employees that are in charge of making professional decisions on the surface of memorial stadium. I trust them to provide the best grass that can be found for our beloved field.....

Why does it matter to you personally? You don't play on it or have to keep up with it. Not an attack, but just a question.

I mean I get the proud Clemson ag history, but is grass really a tradition that affects out sensibilities now?

maybe they pull the truck up by the scoreboard and let each roll of sod roll down the hill. That would be fun to see
