For those that think Watson has been off this year, his stats are actually better than last year.

I think he was a more dangerous runner last year but that could have something to do with Oline.

but it doesn't look like it really matters in the media viewpoints.
In the latest ESPN's Heisman Watch, even with 75% completion with 39 compete passes and 378 yards in the air, although Watson is still #2, they listed Watson's trending as "down". (Look at the red arrow besides his name.)

I guess Watson will just need to continue what he's been doing, eliminate interceptions, have maybe another signature win against Florida State and then hope Jackson to fail miserably in order to get to the top once again.

If we didn't already amass 16 turnovers this year, (6 of which were in the red zone), and have 23+ dropped passes, I think Deshaun Watson would be the only name in the conversation.
Catch every pass, don't give away the ball & we cannot be stopped. Let's go Tigers!

CUYankee. I agree. But my concern is we are over halfway through the season yet these problems have not been resolved....meaning they will likely not be resolved. I expect Clemson to lose two games by seasons end if these problems are not corrected. As talented as Clemson is, no one can continue winning games while turning the ball over four, five, or six times a game. Something has to give.

I agree to extent but... we have won 21 of the last 22 games and lost the turnover margin in 40% of those games. Currently, out of 128 teams, Clemson ranks 122 in turnovers lost. Between Louisville and NC State alone, I believe we had 9, right? Yet & still, we are undefeated. We sure aren't making it easy on ourselves but as the stats show, minus TDs, Deshaun is ahead of where he was this time last year and you saw how we finished running on fumes. I believe this bye week tightened up the gaps, allowed us to heal up and refocus on the fundamentals that are killing us. I'm expecting a big showing next weekend. Let's stay optimistic Tiger fans!

Clemson was among the bottom of ACC last year in term of turnover margin and fumbles lost. It's nothing new to us.
Not that it's something that the coaches don't need to fix. It can be considered as a good thing that we've been good enough to go through even with those mistakes, but at the same time it can be considered as a bad thing as disaster is due to happen.

And this was accomplished against better defenses and less run support. Just because he's not hitting 50 yard bombs and The wide receivers have had a dozen drops, people think he's off
