Yes the gamecocks did go 0-11 but they are hardly a major program.
Other horrific major program seasons...
0-12 Washington 2008. Not always a major program but still going 0-12 is horrific.
3-9 Note Dame 2007
3-9 Michigan 2008
Nebraska has had many bad years recently but never one as bad as 2-10

You forgot about our own dismal 2-9 season in 1975. I sat through every miserable home game and a couple of road games that year.

The worst experience ever at a football game, and not just because we lost so convincingly. Due to the artificial rug and noon sun, the whole dang field looked WHITE from my low end zone vantage point. Couldn't see sidelines or yardlines, had to depend strictly on the zebras to try and figure out what was going on.

Florida St went 0-11 in 1973 and 1-10 in 1974, 3-8 In 1975 which included a 43-7 win over Clemson. The next year they hired Bobby Bowden and Clemson won 15-12.

But what about a program that won their conference the season before? Has a team ever went 13-1 one season and 2-10 the very next season? Has there ever been such a horrendous downfall from one season to the next?
