Defensive Issues!

Since we are short on Defensive ends, why not just play a 3 down front, bring in an additional Linebacker and the nickel closer to the line of scrimage. The linebackers could assist in setting the edges and also the extra backer could help in the gaps.

This is a SOFT defense. They are afraid to tackle. I saw alot of arm tackling and softly letting Louisville players run through them. They need to call Clemson's defense the "mushy boys". Give the defense to Nick Eason. He'll teach them how to play "grown man" football.

Have you seen our LB? They're as bad or worse than the DE

1. We have a talent and depth issue at DE that went unresolved via the portal.
2. Our LBs consistently play low IQ football.
3. We lack speed and athleticism on defense, which is why a good shifty RB looked like Barry Sanders against us.
4. Wes Goodwin was totally unprepared for the cut-blocking scheme and made no adjustments.

Remember in 2017 or 2018 on a 3rd and 45 vs Miami I think it was, BV dropped all 11 into coverage including CWilkins and SexyDexy ??
It was awesome even though it didn't work out and they got 47 and a first down. He never did that again.
The only thing I would have liked to see different would be having 11 DBs on the field at one time if you are going to do that. Line three of them up on the DL in a three point stance just to mess with the O line.

1. Payton Page can play. The grades show it.
2. Sammy Brown is our strongest & fastest LB. He needs reps. Jamal Anderson also has potential.
