I hope I’m proven greatly wrong but it appears there is a very grave issue with the football program. Dabo has been the architect and builder of his program for 17+ years. His fame and fortune, I might say, has been the development of the program and players. His refusal to use the portal has been explained due to developing players. One only has to look at 2 positions to discern the very program Dabo has built is now an utter failure. QB and RB. While Ship carried the load for 2 seasons and then Mafah the next, there were no backups who developed to be the next torch bearer. Hence being forced to use Randall. That’s a serious problem!! The same at QB. This program has very serious and deep problems and its development. This didn’t start this year and won’t be fixed this season! I hate to say it but the very strength of what Dabo built, has now crashed. Very sad.

Just my opinion, we may disagree and that's totally fine, but I think "so incompetent" is a bit much. If Cade is "so incompetent," I personally don't think he'd post a 36 TD and 6 INT stat line last year. I think it would be more fair to chalk this season up as a bad season. Granted, he can easily turn it around and salvage this year.
Like I said, we may disagree and that's totally fine. I'm not trying to bash your comment or anything of that nature.

That is what I see. The team needs to believe there is some hope in good play from him.
I hope he turns it around and then the team can feed off of that.

This seems like the most obvious reason for the 1-3 start. One of many, but the biggest one. These players look like they have quit on the QB.
It will get pretty interesting if they come out in the first few series and don’t score and don’t move the ball.
I worry that if they don’t come out and have early success on offense, the quit in the team will show up again and they might even lose to this awful UNC team.

And nobody -that’s a big word- NOBODY developed behind him. Why? We don’t have to know X’s and O’s to understand this. You can understand business and see the problem.
And it’s the same with QB. We don’t have a valid QB who can backup this year much less start next year.

I agree!! Goes back to the subject topic and did not develop players to step in. Somebody has been looking in the rear view mirror at the trophies and not in the windshield looking forward. It’s just now coming to light.

The fact that we have a veteran QB(former 5 star)who has not developed mentally and physically is all on coaching.
The fact that this is a mostly veteran team on offense and defense, and they are not prepared or developed as they should be at this level, is all on coaching.

Would coaching and their schemes improve with their hand-picked staff? I think Riley, Allen, and Matt Luke could build a solid coaching foundation.
