DB Situation (Terrell, Lukus, Hampton, Barnes)

I really like Hampton, especially with his size and length. I'm wondering if it would be best suited for Hampton and Lewis to take the outside Corner spots and move Terrell inside to Nickel, and move Barnes to a Safety position. I still like Terrell, but he clearly had holding/grabbing issues last year that hurt us in key situations, idk if it'll help moving him inside or not keeping him off the boundary on deep balls. But Hampton really needs to see a lot more PT, I think he arguably could be our best DB. It'll be interesting to see how all them guys play out on the field in the rotation.

Hampton is a starting CB. He took Lukus' spot around mid-season. And I agree, he's our best CB. Terrell is in good position most of the time, but he's got to learn to play less with his hands & get his head around. His brother had the ability to do this almost naturally. As far as Barnes, he's already at S. And a starter. Hopefully these guys learn (especially S & LB) to take better angles & tackle properly. Our safeties ability to improve this offseason is CRITICAL !!!! They were honestly bad at times this yr.

Dead on, safety is my biggest concern going into the off season, I would like to see us take a safety at least for depth in the next portal window.

I really like Jones, he was highly recruited and had a Int last year, just hope he comes back strong from the injury.

Barnes needs to go back to Nickel like his freshman year.)***

I’m betting that, among our Safeties, Ronan Hanafin will make the biggest jump and will be a ~25 snaps per game guy. This Spring will be his first full time opportunity to practice at Safety.

He’s big, fast, and agile.

I can envision him winning a starting Safety job as of the 2nd half of the 2025 season.
