Davis Allen Stays

Wishing Davis Allen would stay for his extra year with a real passing QB...tight ends who can catch, run great routes with speed and open defenses are at a premium in the NFL...look at Kelce, Ernst, Gronk and what they've accomplished...Davis has great hands...as good as any of them...big frame, great blocker and makes the 50/50 balls 80/20 balls...he would benefit greatly from an association with Cade probably to the tune of several million in signing bonus and wow would Clemson benefit! Just look at the catches and the runs after catch vs. UNC...some risk but great rewards await him at the next level! He needs to show his stuff with a great QB that can place the ball where only Davis can catch it...as vs. UNC! Multiple repeats of that catch would be worth millions to pro scouts! Go Tigers!

I agree but first, someone must call a pass play to a tight end which has been absent on a consistent basis, for several years.

That is just completely untrue. We've used the tight ends a good bit this year. Even Price caught a TD.

Not worth it for only one year. Jake B is a great rout runner and pass catcher. He could bolt for the portal if Davis Allen stays. Then we’d be SOL in 2024. Jake B will more than likely be here for the next two seasons.

Jake needs more time in the weight room and training table...20 more pounds and a little more backbone in the blocking area...look at how DA runs the ball after the catch...most dbs don't want a second shot at him..hee can lay wood on you which makes many dbs stay away!

He throws big blocks often which breaks the runners open for a big gains.
