Did Darden and several other players come out and stomp on home plate while Cuifo was still running the bases following his HR? Our batters have been stopping Home after HRs all season.

From what I understand you can’t step in the dirt circle around home plate if you’re coming out of the dugout. He literally had half his foot in the shot I saw, but it was enough for the ump to make the call.

Quite a few of the players got too close to the plate after that home run. Based on the tv coverage, it seems the ump told EB that someone had to be ejected and EB picked Darden as that person since he is least likely to play this weekend.

It even appeared after the ejection that EB back went to the ump for a further explanation and seemed to say “thank you”. I would suggest it was a thanks for letting me pick the ejected player and not simply throwing out starters.

why do we never seem to know what the rules are? why do that stupid junk? the way we have been playing just be glad one went out and act like you may do it again
