Dabos visit to Bama bothers me

it shouldn't bother me one bit but for some reason it does. I just don't get why it does. Maybe it's the loss and I would feel differently if we hadn't crapped the bed yesterday, but for some reason I think it would still bother me had we won.
Oh well. I don't know what my problem is lol.

I know it is a childish feeling....and I want him to be able to celebrate with his teammates.....but it just feels off especially after last night.

it feels "off" that a "fan " would begrudge him a trip to his alma mater with his teammates - especially going into a bye week with the team getting a couple days off.

I happen to agree completely. I fully admit the feeling is wrong.....but still there.

I know if that were me, I'd be back in Clemson trying to figure out what the he'll went wrong and trying to fix it. A leisurely trip to Bama doesn't help Clemson one bit.

I get what you're saying but Dabo has a different perspective on things I believe. He's not the sulking type. I think maybe Stallings being there might have something to do with it to. I know he's been in bad health lately.

I'm not saying the man can't do anything outside of football but if your not absolutely OBSESSED with being great, you'll never be. Yes, we won a Natty but if we get complacent we'll be right back where we were just hoping to be ranked. I dont know about you but I've spent too many years hoping for the Tigers to get to this level and I be #### if I'm gonna let us slip without raising hell about it. No sunshine pumpers over this way. We win or we learn, not we win or go party in Bama. Rant over.

game during an off week, his desire to succeed is in question for you. Guess we shouldn't let the players who can go home next weekend like we and every team has done forever on an off weekend as it reveals they have no desire to be great. Must....be.....obsessed 24/7/365

I think that's where we disagree. To me being obsessed is bad

Its unhealthy and I think it makes you closed minded. I think it also hurts relationships which really hampers recruiting and building a program.
You need priorities and a healthy perspective on things. You dont need to be obsessed, you need to be a leader and a hard worker. I think Dabo fits that mold very well!

The man is a human being attending a special reunion. It is 2 weeks before our next game. There is nothing that was going to be fixed today. The team needs to actually rest and recover from their road trip. Maybe even have a day or two off football to regroup. Nothing was going to happen today. They'll get to work on Monday. We lost a game. It happens. Hope it's OK with the 'competitive' ones if he eats dinner while he's there or actually gets to talk to some old friends.

This is kinda how I'm thinking about it...
Imagine if a player off of last year's national championship team, let's say Hunter Renfrow because of the walk on thing and the similarities, has a job as a head coach years from now.
Renfrow gets a chance to come back to Clemson and celebrate with his teammates after his team has already played for the week. Would you think it was wrong, being a Clemson fan, if Renfrow came back and celebrated with us?

No, I don't think its wrong at all. Logically it makes complete sense and I know it shouldn't bother me. I'm just admitting that it does for some reason.

your argument is invalid bc dabo caught 7 passes for 81 yards in 3 years. Hunter Renfrom is our best receiver...

didn't travel with the team for the Louisville game and instead watched their kids play that Friday night? If not, why does this, after a game, with no practice or meetings scheduled, and the next game a full two weeks away?
Do you have a life outside your work?
Why shouldn't Dabo?
