that he wants to stay loyal to the guys he recruited and most kids in portal couldn’t compete at current school so they enter portal.

I hope we watched FSU game. Their #1 WR Sunday night was Mich St #1 WR. FSU’s new OL is mostly transfer and they now combined have more starts in NCAA than any other OL in country.

Dabo thinks the fan base is just going to believe anything he tells us. I think it’s starting to wear on folks. We are missing 2 parts of the current college game-Portal and NIL. If Dabo can’t see that then Mr Neff needs to encourage him to see it.

Portal use doesn't matter if your team full of 4 and 5 stars can't even be competitive against Duke.

It's obvious Dabo doens't use the portal because Dabo himself cannot wrap his head around it. He cannot fathom that kids might come to CLemson for more than him and his culture. It's like he won't allow himself to see HS kids might be using college football as a means to an end other than getting a degree. He is willfully blind to it despite the overwhelming evidence of its power to positively impact a program that his peers and the fan bases see with their own eyes. His ego and pride won't allow him to admit he has been totally wrong about it.

You have to like Dabo's loyalty to the guys he has brought in. However, Dabo needs to realize that college football is now a semi-pro league. The players are now basically being paid to play. Things have changed and like the pros when you're being paid you can be cut. Other teams have no problem cutting someone. Now will Dabo ever cut anyone? Probably not unless they cause trouble. Take Spector and Stellato and the three freshmen WR, that's 5 WR scholarships that are basically a waste.
Add that to Dabo's decision on making an analyst the DC. It's like he's making weird decisions.
