Dabo to the pros

The transfer portal seems to be frustrating him to the point where the right offer may entice him to move up.. it's getting to the point where the difference between the pros and college is you get to keep players longer in the pros. The transfer portal sucks!

He wouldn't last 3 yrs. College coaches on avg. have a short coaching life span in the NFL.

Not to mention, his whole coaching philosophy is centered around creating men who are faithful husbands, successful students, and great workers. He wants to set up players for life, not football. In the NFL, that doesn’t quite translate

Dabo would more likely step down to a mid America type conference where he could continue to develop the outstanding type of young men he likes to groom for life, not football, could easily win 10 game + every season, get a top 10 ranking ( like the Bearcats) and even beat some of the big schools in a major Bowl. What more does he need outside of a few more National Championships .He has two and therefore has nothing to prove. Of course, no matter which way he goes, he would leave behind a program that has tasted that success. So ask yourself would you want to be the guy who selected to follow him?

Everyone talks about whether Dabo would take the Bama job

when Saban retires.
What if we have it all backwards?
What if Saban secretly wants the Clemson job, and is waiting for Dabo to leave.
Hmmm…

I’ve been thinking similarly. I don’t think Dabo coaches for the money. He coaches to impact young men lives. If P5 football becomes like NFL roster management, then he probably doesn’t care to coach at either of those levels.

He would be a terrible NFL HC imo. He is more of guy developing boys into men. He wouldn't fit in the NFL with the players.

Dabo would rather coach high school than the pros

A coach in the pros does very little in the character development aspect of the players. One of the biggest reasons Dabo wants to be a coach is the influence he can have on young men's lives - developing them at a young age to be good fathers and citizens as an adult. That aspect of coaching in the NFL is minimal at best...
