Dabo legacy?

Do you think that Dabo will win another NC? If you do when do you think it will happen, and if not Why you think he wont.
I personally believe that he will win his third this upcoming season. Just seems like we have all the pieces finally to do it again. Also that we have the coaching staff with the intensity and the grit finally again.
P.S.- I think that come 2027 we will be in the SEC finally and we will win one with Dabo within the 3rd or 4th season competing with them as well. Let me know what you think.

It may come sooner than you think! I saw on Facebook that Clemson signed the Number One FB recruit on April 28. Funny that he didn't have a name or that it was never announced on TIGERNET, but if it's on the Internet...it MUST be true!

Dabo's legacy as a great coach and great ambassador for Clemson is secure whether we win another Championship or not. I think we will be in the hunt this year and as aways, staying healthy is the key. We do not need the SEC and our chances of winning would not be any better if ever left the ACC.

I wasn't saying that we need the SEC, but we the evolution of college football, that we would be in the league due to money and we all know you have to be eventually be in either 2 leagues to survive. So I was just saying that once we are in the league it would take 3-4 years before we won a NC while being in the SEC.

Work hard this summer. Play best young players through camp to have them ready. Optimize the last years of Klubnik, Parker, and Woods. Position team for next steps in college realignment. It's a big year. One game at a time. Beat LSU! Go Tigers!

There will be books written about Dabo , the clemson culture and his unique approach to NIL that in the end vindicates him as a visionary and much more than a football coach.
But for now , yes we will more titles
The pendulum has already swung back in our favor and this year we should be the favorite. It's all coming together again like our previous run.
The only challenge will be holding on to these new hires that have righted the ship.

They need to prove that blowout losses to Georgia and Texas last year are not going to be the norm. We need to start beating teams better than SMU if we want to return to elite status among the best teams in the country.
I believe we will, but I think it's worth pointing out that we haven't accomplished that yet.

Yes I do. 1 to 2 more if he coaches 10 more years No idea when it will happen. This could be a year if the D steps up, we don't have injury issues, and a couple of things go our way.

'16 and '18 mountaintop seasons. First to 15-0 since the 1800's, and in epic style. Conference championships galore. Being a contender every year whether it's going to be our year or not. This is very, very rare air we're living in, still.
Dabo could lead us to another NC, sure. It also might not pan out that way. Oblong balls be tricky. They bounce funny. At the end of any sports season, 99% of fans wind up losers. That's what we sign up for by giving a darn. Moments in that 1% are simply that. Come and gone.
Dabo's legacy will be as much about the spirit of the game and his role guiding sanity through the crazy as it will be for his amazeballs on the gridiron.
Go Tigers!

I think he is certainly capable of winning another.

Time will tell if his approach to program building can be successful in this era of college football. He put himself at a huge disadvantage when he hired a string of unqualified assistants, which hurt recruiting and especially player development. He seems to have corrected those mistakes by making some great hires recently.
He also hurt himself, and the perception of our program, with his approach to NIL and the transfer portal. I believe he has learned from those mistakes as well and seems to be more reasonable in his use of NIL and the portal today.
I don't think our talent level is what it was when we were elite. Most notably, we don't have the QB play we did then. I like Cade, and he improved a lot last year, but I don't know if he is the Deshaun/Trevor type of QB who can be the dynamic yet steady player we need in big games and key moments.
I expect us to be in the playoffs again this year, but I admit it's difficult for me to see us being one of the top few teams in the country this year. I do see a drop off next year, but it's still early and we don't know how guys will develop or what we will be able to get in the portal. We will certainly have some big player losses after the 2025 season though.

The talent is the same as when we were elite imo. RB well will see, but generally I think it's elite if Cade steps up and RB steps up.

I don't feel like we have the same level of talent we had then.

Deshaun and Trevor > Cade
Galman and Etienne > any of our current RBs
Leggett > any of our current TEs
We have some really talented WRs now, but we had guys like Mike Williams, Deon Cain, Ray-Ray McCloud, Tee Higgins, Amari Rodgers, Hunter Renfrow, and Justyn Ross then. I am not sure we are quite as good there now.
While I like some of our current defensive players, especially on the defensive line, I am not sure they compare to Clelin Ferrell, Christian Wilkins, Dexter Lawrence, etc. I am also not sure we have an AJ Terrell or Isaiah Simmons on this team.
This isn't to disparage our current players. We have some really good players I like a lot. As I said, I think we are a playoff team this year, but I don't see us being on an elite level right now to the point that we are legitimate national championship contenders.

I said aside from QB and RB. Cade is solid though and we will see how he progresses. We will see how good Davidson. TE we could be just as good or better. Who knows?! This team is very talented and is up there wíth our best as far as talent.

It's not just QB and RB

It's also CB, safety, LB, and DL.
LB talent level may be similar so perhaps with better coaching from Allen they might be able to reach a similar level to 2016-2018.
DL has a couple of studs but doesn't come even remotely close to the depth of great players we had then. Dabo just portaled in a DE which should really tell you all you need to know.
CB isn't even in the same zip code.
Safety we will see. That's another one where we got really good production under coach V without necessarily having elite talent. Maybe Allen can replicate that.

They are close in many ways. Maybe we have a better OL. Our WRs are studs. We have great TE' s. We have maybe 3 first rounders on the DL. We are pretty stacked.

It's close in certain areas but not across the board, and we aren't nearly as deep (though most teams aren't now). We also don't have Watson or Lawrence to carry the team. Cade has a chance to be really good, but I don't think he's ever going to be at THAT level.

Sorry to disappoint but I don’t do that anymore. I learned from my mistakes and just stopped. I don’t want to seem like a fool anymore. To the haters of Clemson FB like Keller, Dabo has this team and stafff ready for a better run than the 2015-2020 stretch. You I can’t wait to see the reactions once it is proven.
