They made a number of plays down the stretch and earned it.

Living in Buffalo, surrounded by Cuse fans, they're nowhere near as obnoxious as coots, but they hold their own. Running through a cupcake OOC schedule every single year and never leaving the state except for neutral site games, it usually makes them appear better than they actually are. While they are top 15 quality every year, they've only made the final four 5 times in Boeheim's 38 year career, yet still act as if they're the greatest of the great.

I grew up about 25 miles south of you...the overwhelming amount of folks cheer for Cuse but there is a significant minority of contrariness folks or outright haters. A lot has to do with the school being private as opposed to being the state land grant.

Freezin my butt off this winter in San Antonio...looking at an early retirement in 20 months and looking to move to Florida for winters and Upstate NY for Summers till Columbus Day weekend or so...to catch some Cuse home games.
My tailgate group is bringing about 100-150 fans to Clemson game this year...I hope I can make it.

Oh I'm sure it's frigid! I spent some days out in Big Bend NP camping on the weekend after a business trip and rafted down the Rio Grand, it was beautiful. You definitely have the right idea coming to the North East in the summer and TX in the winter.
Congrats on the soon to be retirement!!

So Cuse doesn't schedule mostly home games for their first twenty games vs non-challenging opponents, yet the likes of KU, KY, UNC, Duke, and so on just schedule cupcakes and stay within their respective state? just sayin'...

Having the largest seating capacity in the country and being in the underpaying Big East had a lot to do with it. A lot of it is economics and the Big East was challenging enough...I don't see us changing it too much in the ACC as it is a quality league too...hoping we can get 8-10 teams in every year to the NCAAs starting next year.

basketball coach is an arrogant jerk, football coach is a complete a-hole, and 99% of the fans I have encountered both on TigerNet and in person are horrible.
Just another school that should not have been invited to the ACC, and they contribute absolutely nothing to ACC Football.

Ah man no way bro; they shutout Wagner, destroyed Tulane, & beat an 8-5 B1G team in a bowl @ Reliant Stadium.
They do have a silly venue, however.

Get to beat them up in football, will never have to play football in the snow, the 35K crowd in basketball will boost the ACC revenue, and reputation, in which CU will share, they could be National Champion contenders in BBall and Lacrosse, it's all good....welcome them to the club!
