crowdfund someone to game without getting ripped off?

No way I can go to the game, but is there a way to help crowdfund someone to the game, knowing my Christmas money would be put to good use, without getting ripped off, e.g. funding someone who was going anyway, someone who just takes money and doesn't go to game, or, God forbid, bama fan? Would love to think I helped the tigers by helping to put some orange in the stands. Serious question; no smart a$$e$ please.

Okay, I can see you are right based on responses. Good intentions. Money will go to IPTAY instead. Would be awesome if there was a way to get thousands of us to each contribute a little $ to put as much orange in that stadium as possible.

I proposed that idea... Well, at least for myself to get to the game. Not everyone thinks like you and I.

Can't tell if he's poking fun at my previous post, or if destiny has brought us together.

I'm a recent Clemson grad and my roommate is a current student. We are going to the game, and are trying to raise some money through crowdfunding to help us out. Right now we are putting things on credit cards, which I know isn't the best idea, but we are just doing what we have to. We are responsible and can send you receipts, etc. to prove our travel bookings and ticket purchase. It's so expensive, but there is no way we are going to miss this opportunity.
