Nawrocki in and Crighton out. He refuses to bench his pet. Really starting to wonder if purify is getting a pass because of one reason……

Purify brings good defense. that double play he turned the other day changed the momentum and kept us in the game. I dont think anyone else makes that play. that's it, no other reason.

We don’t need his defense today. Knaak is pitching. We have got to stop sitting better players for him period. Nawrocki and Crighton need to be everyday players

Why try and make something out of nothing. Maybe they just wanted him to rest because of the hard slide he took yesterday. He also might have wanted Nawrocki get some at bats. If they benched Purify and we had some errors on the infield I am sure some will call out our defense. Not gonna questions someone's heart but this post just looks bad.

Purify also saved a run on the errant pick off attempt by decoying the runner with the fake tag. Purify will be a beast over the next couple of years. Crighton was also banged up on a steal attempt late in yesterday’s game. I’m hoping he wasn’t seriously hurt and this just a rest day.

That wouldn’t be a logical reason. It could be a reason but wouldn’t be right. I’m fine with diversity. Don’t care what our team looks like as long as the best players play…… we have a guy who could be a .330 hitter not being given a consistent opportunity to catch a rhythm because of purify who hits .252 and can’t even bunt. Save the defense. He fields .937

Sure he’s had a couple of at bats where he didn’t get it down, but he’s also had more successful bunts than anyone on the team. He’s the guy who laid down the safety squeeze that scored two runs and has on several other occasions bunted for base hits. I know you don’t like the guy, I wonder if there is an illogical reason for that, but you don’t have to make stuff up about him.

Diversity can be good or bad depending on the motivations behind it. That being said I don't believe that diversity has anything to do with Bakich's decision to leave Purify in. I DO think he favors him personally for coming with him from Michigan

It’s good. We can attract any type of player and there are a lot of good Central American, Asian players as well. Heck Crighton came from Michigan too though lol he was a commit and he’s from the state

for the love of god give up the baseball part of your handle. you are clueless. Jack jammed his shoulder yesterday. maybe they are resting it. plus purify had 2 hits yesterday to hopefully start out of his slump. purify is in for d first and if he gets his stroke back, look out. please get a clue or just quit typing.

.252 average. .937 fielding percentage. Been better lately but stop with the defense. Just stop. Nawrocki and Crighton can rake the baseball. Like you said Jack maybe hurt. If so that makes sense old man

Crichton has played pretty much exclusively in the OF this year so I’m guessing that means he’s not the best infielder. If Ciufo was available I think Bakich probably would’ve sat Purify a good bit more this season.

Correct about if ciufo was available. Easy. Wright to 2B. Nawrocki at 3B. Nawrocki has made errors as well but he hasn’t had an opportunity to get in a rythm. If given that opportunity I think he would flourish. He would also hit .330 or better

monte was a good coach. scroll back and find where i ever said he should not have been fired. i supported him because he was our coach. as i do every coach as long as they are here. monte was good. backich is elite. glad the move was made.

He’s also our best defensive infielder and already plays like a vet. The way he faked out the base runner and kept him at 2nd when the catcher’s throw went into centerfield was tremendous; it saved a run.

Just the opposite. People became huge fans because of the grand slam. First impressions are a big deal and it takes a while for fans to get past that. My first impression of Nawrocki hitting .380 for weeks prior to his injury was much more impressive to me but hey…. To each is their own I guess
