I know Jack doesn’t have power, but he’s a much much better hitter. Power doesn’t matter if you can’t hit the ball

Like I said, Crighton doesn’t hit homeruns, but he does hit the ball and get people moving on the bases

Priest in many more games is hitting .200, while Crighton is hitting over .300. Crighton is a much much better hitter, because he can actually hit the ball and not just whiff

Priest definitely shouldn’t be starting this weekend. What I’d do is put him at the bottom of the lineup tomorrow and just play him in the midweeks to see if he can figure things out

When you see EB make the obvious change this weekend, then you will know you are in fact silly. But by all means stick with your silly decision. BTW, Coach Bakich is fine coach, and tonight may in fact have been coach deciding this was Priest’s last opportunity to remain at cleanup batting .200.

I don't see what the coaches see daily, nor argue coaches decisions, but a DH with .205 batting average needs consideration for giving someone else an opportunity.
