And they got a lot of ligaments in their feet , though not as many as a turkey ...for examples.

Guess you are among the uneducated crowd that cheers when an opposing player gets hurt. The Lord knows who not to bless with children.

No one wants to see any player injured. I hope he is soon 100%.
On the flip, who is their QB (and does it matter)?

Doty, I think. They don’t even have a backup. Helinski’s gone, the other followed Bobo to Auburn.

I think Jason has played previously at a lower level. Heard Gauthier has done some good things in practice at second string

It’s Luke Doty.
Also read an AP article a couple of weeks ago, about how USUC’s Athletic Dept ended last fiscal year with a $27 million dollar deficit. That includes the $23 million dollars they received from being in the SEC. That’s just pathetic and sad.

Yeah, hope the kid recovers. Posers on FGF are saying it might be the dreaded "lisfranc" injury. THAT is the one you don;t want. Takes a long time to recover from that one.
"How long does it take to recover from Lisfranc injury?
Lisfranc injury can be quite serious and require months to heal. For those experiencing strains or sprains, recovery could take six to eight weeks. For those needing surgery, recovery will likely take three to five months.
As with any injury, following your doctor’s recommendations is an essential part of the recovery process. The recovery regimen will vary from one case to the next, but is likely to involve the following steps:
Rest, ice, and elevating the foot will help reduce swelling and allow the body to recover more quickly. Staying off your foot entirely for an extended period (generally six to eight weeks) will give the foot time to recover. Avoiding high impact activities will be integral to recovery and take three to five months after surgery. It’s important to seek your doctor’s blessing before stressing the foot in a way that could compromise the healing process."

What about the QB from the Charleston area we recruited but not as a QB but a defensive back but he didn't want to play anything but QB. He signed with the coots about 2-3 years ago. Wonder if he is still around. I think he was more of a runner than a passer. Can't remember his name.

Dakereon Joyner. Dabo told him he could be an “athlete” and play, but he wanted to be a quarterback, so Muschump told him he could be a quarterback at USUC. We see how that work out. He’s still on the team. They’ve moved him to WR, then to QB for a few plays, then back to WR. Has a good arm, but not evidently not good enough for Div 1 football.

The snaps he took at QB last year reminded me of when we used to play two hand touch. He’s not a QB on his best day. The kid they are going to run out is a senior - nobody has ever heard of him. If Joyner is the best option they have, I’d opt out of the season if I was Beamer.

Hoping the young man's injury does not keep him from returning to football. Hate when any player is injured regardless of team.

Never wish an injury on any player, but a few of the replies on the main article cracked me up. (My summary) Poster 1 "We'll just have to start building QB depth." Poster 2 "QB depth? The only thing we have depth in is disappointment." Poster 3 "Yeah, we have Alabama-depth in that"
