The entire run back, I was saying aloud, “Don’t drop the ball before the goal line, Nate. Don’t do it. Don’t you do it.” I saw the touchdown signal and turned away. Next thing I know they’re replaying it to see if he dropped the ball too soon!
I knew his immaturity was going to force him to drop the ball like that.
Huge night for him, though. Played his tail off and made a ton of plays!

I remember when Cliff Austin had 250+ rushing yards in the Valley vs Duke in 1982, still one of the top single rushing games in Tiger history. He said later that with some of the big runs and when he was finally pulled in the 4th quarter for a backup and coming off the field with the entire stadium applauding, it was like the biggest natural high you could imagine.

Nate said he was cramping the play before and started cramping again when he got to the 50 yard line. Glad he made it to the end zone. Pure adrenaline

if I remember it right by the time he hit the 50 there was no tarhole anywhere near him. it was a great play.

Man seeing his development early in the season to now has been a joy to watch. It wasn't always easy, but he has come a very long way since September. Glad to see him have an incredible game last week.
