for sure and united his teammates to excel. I agree!
So, what happened in 1 week to Cade when oddly he wasn't utilized, at least for 2 straight series in the 3rd & 4th Qtrs of Coot game, to see if he could be the Spark we needed and relieve JD?
I say & always will say Dabo & Street fumbled the ball not using Cade and if I should ever meet them I will bring it up..as well as feeling they fumbled on not running Ship but 4 or so times last half.
Go TiGERS.. hound dog the Vols.

I'll point out again, South Carolina did not take the lead until 10 minutes left in the game. On the three ensuing possessions, the starting positions were the 25, 9, and 3 yard lines.
It's reasonable to assume two things. 1) The staff felt confident we would maintain the lead and win the game. 2) Given the game situation and field position, it's similar to Notre Dame, when Klubnik threw the interception.
Does that mean it's wrong to suggest Klubnik should have played? No. It's just that, given the situation, it understandable why the coaches chose the decision thst they did.

I was sitting in the stadium and texted my chicken family members mid way through the third quarter. I told them congratulations on the win. I was dead serious. I have watched too many Clemson football games and knew how the day was going to end. My chicken family members told me after the game that they were shocked when Cade did not come in when DJ got hurt in the third quarter.
I was also sitting in the stadium at ND when Cade was put in a bad position and pulled after the interception. He should have been given more time in that game. It was painfully obvious that night that DJ was not going to get it done. You should have heard the ND fans around me talking about DJ.
I am thankful that Dabo is our coach. However, I will say it again. I do not agree how the QB situation was handled this season. No one else is going to coddle DJ like Dabo did. It is an embarrassment to Clemson football that opposing teams felt like they could stack the box and make the Tigers win on passing.
Time to move on and make Orange Bowl plans. Go Tigers!

Agree 100%. Which, along with the post ACCCG interview, suggests it was not nearly as open a competition as we were lead to believe. And there existed a tacit agreement it was “DJs year” until it was too late…
We should be in the CFP w CK as the “spark”.

Dabo has not won the Championships he has won but not playing the right players. Cade is still just a Freshman and if he had been ready for action, he would have played. No story here.

I believe Dabo's reason was that Cade was not ready. I believe Dabo is an honest man. I also believe he didn't know that Cade was ready. I believe that Streeter's and Dabo's focus has been on DJ, and not Cade, who was not allowed to practice with the first string all year long. Cade showed that, not only was he ready, he was way ahead of DJ. So then you have to ask yourself, why didn't the coaches know that?
