Exactly. The word "commit" is used loosely in this article. Can you imagine if one of OUR commits had an article like this? How long do you think it would take Dabo to make the decommit? Ask R.Smith.

reference his 'brand' makes me a little hesitant....not sure that's a good fit for the program and what Dabo's built....I could be way off though

As I was reading this article, little red flags kept creeping up in the background. First and foremost is his lack of understanding the meaning of commitment. Second, was his "Brand". Perhaps his "brand" is not in sync with the Clemson Tiger "All In" brand. I just can't see Dabo and staff pursuing this young man, regardless of his number of stars.

His brand?? That just hits me the wrong way. I can't see a person who, at age seventeen, is already worried about his own "brand" being a very dedicated member of a team.

I just don't see us having a shot at this guy. And I agree, some of his comments give one pause to wonder. However, a lot of these kids' heads are so blown up by coaches, press clippings, etc., that it's hard to see how they make logical decisions. He obviously couldn't go wrong with Clemson where he would receive unrivalled development and coaching. We'd put him smack dab in the NFL (If he fulfilled his potential), but thankfully our coaches don't lie to players, so we do miss out on some good players who just don't realize this. We'll get our share.
