College Football Playoff

The only real list starts tonight. The CFP Committee is made up of 13 experts. Their main job is to find the National Champion using a 4 team playoff. They have attempted that 7 times. In my opinion they have found the Champion 7 times. Debate they failed in any year would be fun, and I am up for it. They have done their job perfectly as to finding he National Champion.
In the 7 years of the CFP these teams have made it into the Final Four:
Alabama 6 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2020 Clemson 6 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020 Oklahoma 4 2015, 2017, 2018, 2019 Ohio State 4 2014, 2016, 2019, 2020 Notre Dame 2 2018, 2020 Georgia 1 2017 Oregon 1 2014 Florida State 1 2014 LSU 1 2019 Michigan State 1 2015 Washington 1
That is because they earned it. Now many want everyone to get an award and want 12, 30, 64 teams in. Football is a tough sport. Teams are already seldom able to line up a healthy team, and this is 15 games! Adding more games and teams is what TV (ESPN, Networks) want to produce more $$$.
It will expand due to $$$, but I disagree. To-date the CFB Committee has been perfect as to finding the National Champion. Other teams fight out ### in Bowl games. I love Bowl Games. Expanding the playoff will diminish Bowls.
Tonight the first CFP list will come out. I believe they will again find the real National Champion who won it on the field.

It may not expand to 12, hopefully, because the SEC and ESPN

got caught being greedy/sneaky and withholding information about Texas and Oklahoma when the talks to 12 were originally hashed out.

This year 8 teams would have crazy ratings.

Teams win games and conference Championships and the best teams reveal themselves. Based on records now and potential records after the conference Championship games, the Committee will either have an easy task or an impossible one. The 4 team Playoff system is not broken so why try to fix it?

Agree 100%. Don’t fix what isn’t broken. The best team has won and it’s not been debatable. That’s the goal and the committee has succeeded.

This is set up so that no matter who loses the SEC championship game, they will still make the playoffs.

I don't think OHS has earned that. I believe they will, but not as of today. All know Cincinnati is a woke entry as they lack a schedule similar to the others and will fall out. This is a woke placement. They did beat ND.
It will be very difficult for MS to hold, I hope they do. They earned this on the field after being picked last.
