Never understand backing up 6 yards to get one

Inability to line up under center and take a snap like a big boy... hard to believe

It's like the coach just admits their guys are weaker

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

You can have weaker guys and get a yard in 4 plays with sneaks.

Jan 10, 2025, 11:03 PM

Wedge block, push from behind. Pick one side of the center.

There is no excuse to not make a sneak work in 4 plays.

Unreal. I could see a quick pass to Helm or a quick slant. You take it under center and run at four straight times and make them stop you from the one and a half yard line on first and
goal.

Yea it's mind boggling these guys make the money they do and then can't make simple decisions sometimes. That pitch call on 2nd down is just atrocious.. dude is catching that 7-8 yards behind the LOS.

Plain and simple, you pound the rock there and QB sneak with a tush push. If you can't get a yard you don't deserve to win ... But u at least try.

Clearly some of you Tnetters

lack a P.E. degree and tens of thousands of hours eating pizza and watching game tape.

Then you would have the pedigree to make and comment on such weighty play call decisions.

The chances of Ewers on a QB sneak working were slim. Probably should have just run it off tackle or a play action pass to the TE.

The QB just has to shrink himself and fall into a crack between the C and a G.

Jan 10, 2025, 11:17 PM

It could be a horse jockey. The points of leverage are the wedge block and the push from behind. Just pick a gap and dive in backwards and backpedal or dive forward holding onto ball. With a push from behind even a crappy weak team can do it.

It would have likely gone nowhere vs Ohio State.

No, but Archie could.

True. He would have gotten stuffed being that it Ewers attempting it, but I agree with you overall.

It’s almost unbelievable how often they pass it up and end up losing yardage. A sneak, at worst, will not lose yardage unless there’s a penalty.

The sneak would have been a weak call there with Ewers. It's Ewers.

They could have used Manning.
