But, color me very skeptical.
I don't think he can be a long term success. I think he will improve Colorado, but I doubt he can elevate them to be able to compete for a conference championship - not this year, not next year,....
Sooner or later his ego will get in the way. I would compare him (in terms of ego and self-promotion) to a couple of politicians, both parties, but I don't want this to become a thread about politics, which it would.

Yeah this is just another stepping stone for him. Cant blame him but no idea why kids would agree to play for someone who will be gone as soon as they have some success.

He already has 100% buy-in from the players.
That's a huge part of it, and plus Colorado the program has a ton of potential and it's not like they're playing the hardest schedule in the country.
I'm going to say it right now. Colorado is, right now, back on the college football map.

I have watched the Coach Prime YouTube episodes and understand the glitter he brings to the program. He was a great, great player as Clemson fans know well. So he begins at Colorado and attracts a lot of attention from everyone including recruits. He gives slick talks to the team. He wears a cowboy hat. All good….BUT….then you start to realize it is all canned speeches that he gives them. He would give the same speech to any team or corporation that paid him to speak to their employees. That is going to wear thin. His brief press conference, that he ended quickly after their spring game, was reminiscent of an NFL player being interviewed in the locker room after a game. He sticks to the ###### and doesn’t reveal himself, knowledge of the players or details.

Time will tell what "Prime" accomplishes. I think he will either be insanely successful or a huge bust. Don't think he will land on any middle ground.
