It's close, but I don't see it.
However, I do think he did "initiate contact and target the player with the crown of his head," which is a 15 yard penalty. Whether he's defenseless or not only applies to hits above the shoulder.

yea it was a good hit but if u look he was not even touched by anyone on the block. he should have hit him like that.

i loved Mcdaniel pointing at the QB after intercepting his pass and then dislocating his shoulder........i LOVE that.........it's the "thug mentality" on the field that our ENTIRE team LACKS................get that attitude and some talent infusion on defense and we might be NC contenders
