Uiagalelei with a couple overthrows on the first drive and there's a 3-and-out. Cade Klubnik is out in the red zone already after a punt mishap. Nice reception for Klubnik in Death Valley.

The first lengthy drive of the day stalls after crossing the 50 with the Orange team. First explosive pass of the game was a dump-off over the middle to Phil Mafah.

Nice 26-yard connection from DJ Uiagalelei to Joseph Ngata along the sideline but the Orange team can't build on it. Four punts from BT Potter so far today (six total).

Orange in the end zone for the first time today after a 6-yard TD run from Phil Mafah. Orange takes a 7-3 lead with over six minutes left in the first half.

HALF: Orange 7, White 3. Klubnik goes 13-of-19 for 93 yards. Uiagalelei was 10-24 for 116 yards. Ngata with four catches for 50 yards. Mafah with eight rushes for 24 yards, TD. Dropped punt attempts preceded both scores.

Cade looked more accurate and can throw with touch. He's also fast as lightening.
The heavy pass rush messed both guys up but Cade did very well for a true freshman. I expect him to grow by leaps and bounds from now to September.
If injuries don't cripple us, our defense will be top 3 in the nation, if not the best. It's obvious Myles Murphy will again be doubled-teamed nearly every play when the real games start. He's just too good. His combination of speed and strength is breathtaking.

Jonathan Weitz hits his second FG of the day and cuts the Orange lead to 7-6 with just under 10 to go in the third quarter. Should be a running clock from here.

Handwriting is on the wall. Eerily similar to 2018 except that the OL and WR corps have a lot more ??. Defense should be solid and the young QB will take over at some point, probably early in the season. Hopefully before DJU throws that crucial INT to the other team for the loss.

I saw the 1st half. Couple of pretty good tosses from DJ. Overall, I would say same ole Big Stinko. Overthrow after overthrow. Too mustard on a 10 yard pass. The announcers tried to help him by saying he was throwing to inept receivers. Seems to me that both sides were short on receivers. Qb ratings speak for themselves. Hopefully my extended analysis will keep you guys from hating on me for name calling.
