I'm 85 years old and do not post very often but need some advise now. I have AT&T cable TV and all ESPN channels have a message that there is a contract dispute and no service. Is there a way to watch the FSU v BC game tonight? I do not have all of the equipment or knowledge as you younger folk so any help will be appreciated. TIA.

You could sign up for a free trial to watch with a different service. I asked Ai for some info to help, I'll paste below.
Yes, several streaming services offer free trials that include access to ESPN:
YouTube TV YouTube TV: Offers a free trial that includes ESPNAd1.
Hulu + Live TV: Provides a free trial with ESPN in its channel lineup2.
FuboTV FuboTV: Known for sports coverage, FuboTV also offers a free trial that includes ESPN2.
DIRECTV Stream: This service offers a free trial with access to ESPN2.
Just remember to cancel the subscription before the trial period ends if you don’t want to be charged. Enjoy the game! 🏈

I'm not very bright. I assume this will not be through my TV but my computer. Is that correct?

You are correct, unless you have a "smart tv" that will play apps such as Netflix. If so, you will need to download the Youtube TV app onto your tv and sign up for the free trial. If not, your only option would be a computer, laptop, or even your smartphone.

If you have a "smart" TV, you could do it there. Most have apps you can download much like your phone. Otherwise, sittin' at the computer is your best bet.

pawguy1 You can try youtubeTV for free and may stick with it anyways. If you have a Smart TV, all you have to do is search for it in the apps, it’s not a very hard process if you’re patient haha.

Depending on where you live, ABC is still free over the "air" if you can remember how that still works.

DISH pulled that stunt one or two years ago. I think we went four weeks without ABC/ESPN. The timing of that is just pure BS!!!!
