Carter had been playing well. Kinda wish Byrd had taken him instead of Zack. Zack didn't score well last trip down on this course... Here's to hoping he finds greener pastures this go round.

He closed out the championship last year. Have to give him a chance. Having a good round until that double on 10. Finish strong!

First round in the books. Not the best start after Cottam doubles the par 5 17th. Finished -1 and second place is only -7 with UNC lapping the field at -14.

If we are going to make match play (4 teams) we are going to have to get hot this afternoon and tomorrow. Right now we are probably 7 strokes out of making the top 4, so we have work to do.

better, not worry about it not being shown on TV. Let's face it, most of the general public couldn't care less about college golf.

But, I do agree, if the ACC is holding a Championship in a sport, and it does not pre-empt showing a Championship in ANOTHER sport, it should be on the ACC Network. And, if the ACC Network were OWNED by the ACC, it probably would be.

ESPN is in it for ESPN, not the ACC. They will show whatever they think will get the highest ratings, although some of those decisions do seem ludicrous.
